One of the most important and emerging challenges of the present era that has confronted Islamic societies with numerous problems is the phenomenon of dog walking. In this phenomenon, humans consider dogs as their companions and keep and transport them. This phenomenon is a product of Western culture, in which Westerners have targeted national culture, customs, and Islamic lifestyle. With the disappearance of the Islamic lifestyle and its replacement with the Western lifestyle, identity lessness will prevail in society and order and security will be disrupted. One of the most important factors affecting the emergence and spread of this phenomenon is the lack of awareness among citizens of the legal and criminal documents surrounding this phenomenon. Accordingly, the purpose of the present study is to examine the legislative foundations of the ban on dog walking and the legal and criminal documents surrounding it. The research method in this paper is descriptive and analytical, and the research approach is applied and its type is qualitative. The results of the research indicate that although the laws have implicitly referred to the prohibition of this practice, no specific legal article in the relevant laws has explicitly addressed this issue.
