Media terrorism, in the contemporary era, has evolved beyond traditional psychological operations into a multi-dimensional phenomenon targeting the security, ethical, and cognitive aspects of societies. This study employs an analytical-descriptive approach to examine the dimensions of “Security Jurisprudence” (Fiqh al-Amn) regarding media terrorism and its resulting cognitive consequences. The core focus of this research is elucidating the position of Islamic legal principles—such as the prohibition of spying (Hurmah al-Tajasus), the principle of no harm (La Zarar), and the sanctity of protecting personal secrets—in confronting digital privacy violations, which serve as the primary substrate for media terrorism. Findings indicate that unauthorized access to personal data and the violation of digital privacy are not only clear manifestations of threats to individual security in Islamic jurisprudence but also act as the main fuel for public opinion engineering and the creation of profound cognitive damages. From the perspective of Security Jurisprudence, countering these threats requires a shift from purely defensive approaches toward active prevention through criminalization based on Islamic legal principles. The results suggest that the high capacity of Security Jurisprudence in ensuring human dignity and maintaining public order provides a comprehensive framework for policymaking in the field of privacy protection and combating the destructive cognitive consequences of media terrorism. Therefore, synergizing Islamic legal foundations, cyber law, and technical solutions is an inevitable necessity for enhancing societal security and cognitive health against this emerging phenomenon.
